What data we collect

When you use Paythread, we store the data you provide to deliver the service. This includes:

• Account information (email address, hashed password)
• Business profile (company name, address, phone, email, website, logo)
• Clients (name, email, address)
• Work items (descriptions, rates, amounts, time entries)
• Invoices and line items
• Payment methods and payment records
• Subscription and billing data managed through Stripe

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Paythread service — tracking work, generating invoices, sending emails, and processing payments. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the product.

What we don't do

• We never sell your data to anyone.
• We never share your data with third parties, except Stripe for payment processing and Resend for transactional email delivery.
• We do not serve ads or track you across the web.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with secure session management.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers.

Cookies

Paythread uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party cookies.

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data (page views, referrers, device type). Vercel Analytics is cookieless — it does not set any cookies or track you across websites.

Your rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Export: Download all your data as CSV files from the Settings page.
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. This action is irreversible.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify users via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
